Quinn Munson is a young Gen Z who sends his DNA sample to a genetic testing company and is shocked to discover that he has an older brother named Noah Kane. As an only child who always desired a sibling, Quinn is stunned when his family denies any knowledge of this brother. Determined to learn more, he hires a private investigator and finds Noah living in Cairo, Egypt.
After a heated argument with his father, Quinn decides to embark on a quest to find his brother. He flies to Cairo without a plan, but through a combination of chance and luck, he manages to locate Noah. They hit it off, and Noah offers Quinn a job as an IT specialist at his employee placement company.
While in Cairo, Quinn meets a beautiful Sudanese woman named Tamaya, who is training to become a fashion model. They fall in love, and life seems perfect—until Quinn stumbles upon a secret file. When he confronts Noah about the true nature of how his company makes money, Noah reveals shocking truths that cause a web of lies to unravel.
Suddenly, Tamaya is taken hostage, leaving Quinn desperate to rescue her and escape both Egypt and those intent on killing them. The couple finds themselves lost and freezing in the Sahara Desert as their pursuers close in. Then, something amazing happens. The characters and plot line were both complex and compelling in this impressive debut novel. As this imaginative and suspenseful story line progressed, I was truly drawn in, and could not put it down. So many unexpected twists and turns! I was left wanting more, and hope this talented author continues to bring us along on Kim Moreno’s journey.

I was so impressed with Paul August’s novel. As an avid reader it is so nice to read a book that you can’t put down. The book was so well written, exciting, captivating with great plot twists and a surprise ending. I enjoyed it so much that I have recommended it to all of my friends.

I couldn't put this book down! I read the Kindle version and was pulled in immediately. Kim is a great heroine and the adventure she goes on is a wild ride! From the location to the characters, I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Highly Recommend! Michelle D
